The 700FB Wood Pellet Grills from Pit Boss offer the best value per square inch in the pellet grill industry. When it comes to construction, few companies can beat Traeger. Its grills come with construction features like cast-iron grates with a clear and nontoxic coating that prevents food from sticking to the grill and fireboxes made from a similar material. Though Pit Boss grills feature similar elements, many look flimsy, and most will not keep up with your grilling and smoking demands.
But, who cares about all that!? How does it cook? I knew pellet grills could deliver the flavor based on my buddies’ samples. And they told me how easy it was, but I really didn’t believe it until I threw 4 split breasts and a rack of ribs on my Pit Boss for her maiden voyage. I LITERALLY did nothing, but my usual rubs and putting them on. After 2 hours on the chicken and 3 on the rib rack (Baby Back) at around 300 (then foil wrapped the rib for another half hour), I had PURE perfection. Every breast was evenly cooked according to size- and I never touched them (on my gas grill I have to constantly shuffle everything around for even the dream of even cooking (and pray for no flare-ups). I never had to flip either and the temperature was 160 top to bottom on the breasts when I pulled them. I have been cooking split breasts for 30 years…these were the best I have ever done- and all I had to do was drink beer. The ribs were smokey and had a REAL smoke ring. They didn’t “fall off the bone”, but just pulled away perfectly. SO good… honestly, this feels like cheating!

To start, let’s talk equipment. You don’t need to spend a lot, but you do need something reliable. I love my Pit Boss Memphis Wood Pellet Grill. It’s an all-in-one gas grill, charcoal grill, and electric smoker. And it’s available exclusively at Walmart! Since it has three cooking methods in one, I made the dinner you see all outside using this grill.
They are unique in that they can function as a comprehensive smoking machine, as well as a convenient grill. They feature an offset chamber which you can load with your charcoal/wood, and a separate chamber for your food. This set-up means you can easily use them and top up your fuel without disturbing the smoke levels with the food. Even cooking is achieved by a small miracle called reverse flow technology. This really just means there’s a small perforated plate sliding between the food and smoke chamber at the perfect frequency to completely equalize the temperature.

As far as Pit Boss customer service is concerned all I can tell you is that my experience was ridiculously awful.  I called Customer Support to ask a question about grate size and was routed into an automated system.   Every three minutes the automated system gave me two options to HANG UP the phone.  After 10 minutes and the third time the system asked me to, I hung up.

The Green Mountain Grills Davy Crockett is a versatile, wood-pellet grill that is intended for portability. Regardless of its weight, it’s about as minimized as you can get, and takes care of business. Contrasted with more costly wood pellet barbecues, it appears to hold its own on performance, while the one of a kind Wi-Fi usefulness needs some finish.

This grill produces fall off the bone ribs. I've also cooked a brisket to perfection. My only issue is that I have to clean it after every use. If it isn't cleaned properly (I remove all of the grates and use a shop vac to suction all ashes and unburned pellets) the pellets will back up and when they finally push through, you will have a huge flare up that will potentially burn whatever you are cooking as well as take the paint off the grill itself. Also, I find it works better if you set the dial to OFF and then back to whatever temperature you want. Other than those few quirks, I love this grill. I did find a larger Pit Boss after I bought this one, but it was about $150 more.
This pellet grill is an exceptional cooking machine. Utilizing only wood chips for fuel, it boasts of an extensive temperature range, letting you grill anywhere between 150 to 700 degrees Fahrenheit. Safety is not a problem, though. It has a digital control panel, letting you set the temperature and leave the grill to cook whatever it is you want to cook, the way you want it cooked! You can grill perfectly smoked ribs, bake pizza, grill some steak or burgers, and it’s perfectly cooked every time.

Loving my first pellet bit boss grill. But I did do a few modifications on it . I added LAVA LOCK GASKET to the door so I wouldn't lose smoke and heat and I also added a spring latch to help seal everything. And last thing I added was a bottle opener lol.. I must say this is a nice piece of equipment.. add working like a champ. I would of gave 5 stars but I had to and a few mods.
