We just bought a 700 today and am very frustrated. We sat for 4 hours trying to maintain the temperature. On smoke, it went as high as 450 and stayed.. and this continued on every temperature we tried. We set the “p” setting to all the different possibilities.. We finally gave up after trying to get it to maintain a 250 degree temp.. it kept going over 400.. I don’t understand and not to happy tonight. Anyone have these issues?

Was originally looking for a gas grill, this grill had everything I was looking for and more. Larger cooking space, no flare ups, ability to smoke. I have zero fluctuations in temp, but there is a significant temp difference between controller temp and lid thermometer. I have learned how to deal with this. Also, it comes with 2 temp probes that I use always that help, plus I just learned on Youtube that if you adjust the "P" settings you can fix this issue. Other small things that I like about this grill is Made In America, Instructions only in English, and they were specific to this model (not cut n paste saying "if applicable"). 40lb bag of pellet compared to propane tank consumption is close, but you will spend a little more for a bag of pellets and maybe have to buy slightly more often than a tank refill....but I have been grilling a lot more also. I also compared to other brands as well. Probably the worst thing about this grill is Walmart cant keep them in stock
Pick an item that is anything but difficult to clean and store. Stay away from massive units on the off chance that you don’t need your grill to stick around in the kitchen when not being used. You may likewise need to pick one that your space can suit. And afterward, search for a model that can be effortlessly cleaned and that accompanies a deplete framework and an oil/dribble plate/gatherer.
You then simply select your desired temperature via the digital controls and relax, safe in the knowledge that the temperature will stay steady and there won't be any dreaded hot or cold spots. This consistence is achieved through the efficient temperature control system and automated auger. This ensures a deep smokey flavor is embedded in your meat every time.
This pellet smoker grill met 14 out of our 32 criteria when we used our checklist. Although 14 isn’t an exceptionally high score, the features that it did meet were the ones that were tied the most to customer satisfaction, encouraging us to look into the grill a little further. When the Grills Forever team did, we weren’t left disappointed! The smoker grill has one of the largest cooking grid sizes available today! The body of the grill itself is of high quality and is completely insulated, making it very efficient. The wide temperature range reaches a considerable height. However, the grill is remarkably durable and well prepared so you can rest assured of your safety. The porcelain-coated grates are also very easy to clean and conduct heat very well; lying underneath are the high-quality burners which are controlled through an automated system, meaning you can kick back and relax.
I got this for father's day 2017, I've put 120 lbs of pellets through mine. Overall it is great, good price for the money, sear plate is nice for grilling. After a long Texas summer with a lot of use, it now struggles to hold at 225. It will either run at 205 or 235. It used to hold like a champ. I started using a Therm Pro TP08 Dual Probe to confirm and it's showing the same thing. I've tried playing with the P settings but nothing works. My only other complaint is that the paint burned off of the outside underneath. Called customer service, left a couple voicemails, and never got a call back.
