UPDATE 8/27 - This grill is still performing flawlessly. No error messages, maintains temperatures. I have made homeade pizzas and strombolis on a pizza stone and it actually makes them better than in the oven. Its like a restaurant wood fired pizza. I made a pork butt, beef brisket, bacon wrapped scallops....it just simply cooks everything well. Love my Pit Boss !!
I just love this smoker/grill! I use it at least twice a week. I’ve made great pizza’s (on my Pit Boss Pizza Stone) The first one I ordered was delivered, and was broken. I called Pit Boss, and they replaced it right away, without any hassle! That’s good customer service! I love the fact that they carry so many natural flavored wood pellets. I use the apple wood pellets for ribs, the Hickory for steaks and chicken, and the competition blend for grilling burgers, salmon, etc. My friends are always impressed by the quality, I mean, this thing is a flavor machine! I’ve read a few negative reviews, but I have not had any problem with this machine. All you have to do is keep it clean, and it performs like a champ! I am very satisfied with this product, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting a new grill or smoker. Sincerely, Happy Pallet in Venice, Florida!
The beauty of a grill like this is the deceptive flexibility when it comes to prepping your food, with eight options. You can, for example, sear, smoke, bake, or grill, depending on what's being prepped. Just select how you want to prepare it on the thermostatic controls and either let the food sit or move the plate and cook over an open flame. And with the options of wood chips available, you can add that little extra flavor to anything you're preparing.
Convection is achieved using a number of techniques. Air is fan forced into the grill and channeled throughout by our arched flame broiler. Our exhaust design allows air to circulate evenly along the length of the grill and to the top shelf. This combination allows us to achieve uniform heat throughout the unit whether your smoking at 170°F or cooking all the way up to 600° Fahrenheit.
